Welcome to my blog site, I’m glad you stopped by. My name is Dennis Poe and I am a fifty year old male, living in the great state of Kentucky. I am married to a beautiful loving woman (lucky me) who is tolerant of my strong opinions. We have four children, two of each type, that’s two boys and two girls for those of you scratching your heads. We also have six grandchildren with our seventh due in September. We are allowed to reside with my wife’s cat, Tinker, who runs the show in his house.
One of the most important things that I would like you to know about me is the fact that I am a proud American. I dearly love this country and think that it is the greatest country on God’s green Earth. I also understand that nothing is perfect and today there are a lot of imperfections within our country. In my fifty years, or at least since I have been old enough to understand, I have seen the rights, privileges, and freedoms of Americans being slowly decreased, while obligations and taxes increase.
My love for this country is what prompted me to start this blog. Americans have become to complacent and accept things because they feel un-empowered. We grumble to ourselves, maybe one or two other people, if we can get them to listen and that’s as far as it goes. If our forefathers had been as complacent as we are today, we would still be living under British rule. I wanted to create, a place that people could voice their opinions openly and be heard, a place where people might realize that they are not alone in the way they feel, and place where like-minded individuals could band together to perhaps make a real difference. A real change, not the false promises touted by politicians just to win an election and then feed us the same old crap we’ve been force fed for years.
I will not promise that you will agree with all my posts and I won’t tell you that I have all the answers. I will promise you that I will tell you the truth, at least as I see it, and I will promise to respect your right to voice your opinion as I hope you respect that I have the same right. Feel free to leave a comment, it may be one of the last places that you really do have total freedom.
Once again, WELCOME, and I hope we can have a long-lasting relationship!
PS: Tinker demanded that since he was gracious enough to allow me to write this blog in his house, it should include his picture, so:
